Mile High Stadium had quite the weather change for the Broncos-Patriots game.

In a game that featured many missed field goals and a controversial backward pass, points were at a minimum due to Mother Nature.

Weather conditions at Empower Field at Mile High were freezing, but nobody had a clue what was to come. Throughout the first half and a little during the third quarter, there was enough visibility for both teams to play a regular game.

Things started to change midway through the third quarter. A time-lapse showed that, with about 6 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, snow began to fall. With a minute left in that same quarter, snow had begun to fall even more and stick to the ground.

By the fourth quarter, the Broncos and Patriots had a football field filled with snow. That was the reason why only three points were scored in the second half.

The weather change certainly helped the Patriots. New England will try to win its first NFL Championship since 2019 after defeating the Denver Broncos 10-7 in the AFC title game. Drake Maye threw for 86 yards on a field covered in snow. Rhamondre Stevenson added 71 yards on the ground.
