Matthew Golden not only should’ve been flagged, but he likely should be thrown out of tonight’s contest.
During the Thursday Night Football matchup between the Green Bay Packers and the Carolina Panthers, a major controversy erupted in the first half. It happened between Carolina cornerback Marco Wilson and the Packers’ wideout.
One play seemed to show that a ref was showing favoritism toward the Packers, and it was caught on tape.
NFL Fans Point Out Evidence of Rigging After Matthew Golden’s Punch and Ref Interaction

Carolina cornerback Marco Wilson was flagged for a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. It was after pushing Matthew Golden several times in front of the ref. The moment happened in the end zone.
In response, Golden would blatantly grab Wilson by the jersey and punch him squarely in the face. A ref ran in from the side and threw his flag, but only Wilson got a penalty.

To make matters worse, Prime Video would show Matthew Golden holding the hand of the ref as they ran and talked. It appeared that the referee was merely giving him a talking-to about the punch instead of flagging him as he was supposed to.
Hopefully, questions are asked about this interaction. Later on in the game, Golden would catch a Jordan Love pass for a touchdown.
