An old video has resurfaced of Tom Brady, then 46, throwing an absolute rocket across a ballroom to Australian rugby star Reece Walsh.

Tom Brady retired from the NFL after the 2022 season. Certainly, his on-field production hadn’t waned in his final season. Brady completed 66.8 percent of pass attempts for 4,694 yards, 25 touchdowns and just nine interceptions.

If Brady wanted to continue playing beyond 2022, he could have easily done so. But of course, the seven-time Super Bowl champion had nothing more to prove as the most accomplished player in NFL history.

With the way he takes care of his body? Brady could probably step onto an NFL field today and still produce at a quality level. At least, going by the power and crisp release that resides in his arm.

Recently, a video from Jan. 2024 of Tom Brady throwing a beautiful pass to Reece Walsh at a public ballroom event has gone viral. Per the Daily Mail, Brady was in Australia for a speaking tour and gave Walsh an autographed football:

Perhaps they’ll play in a flag football event together one day?

The 48-year-old Brady just completed his second season as an analyst at FOX Sports. Before his final NFL season, he agreed to a 10-year deal with the network worth a whopping $375 million.

Brady has drawn mixed reactions as an analyst. The general consensus is that he improved in year two, but there were still cringeworthy moments, like the “kick the dog at home” comment.

But with two full years in the books, Brady has nowhere to go but up as an analyst. FOX executives haven’t indicated that they’re disappointed with his performance. Ultimately, that’s all that matters.
