Seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady is well known for being an extremely competitive person. Ever since his days in the NFL, Brady’s competitive drive amused whoever went against him.

As he transitioned into an NFL media role and to a minority owner role on the Las Vegas Raiders, Brady wants to have a different approach. In his latest 199 newsletter, Brady explained he wants to have a better lifestyle as he approaches 50.

“The ten days culminating with the Fanatics Flag Football Classic in Los Angeles were among the ten busiest days I’ve had in a very long time, back to back,” Brady started the post. “There were meetings, calls, press, flights, rides, meals, parties, practices, so much talking, and of course the games themselves. For a week and a half, if I wasn’t ‘on’ then I was either moving or sleeping.”

He said that he wanted to be more balanced, but noted that it doesn’t mean he would be less ambitious.

“…The answer to the question of balance for me isn’t to do less. It’s to do as much as possible around whichever priority has my attention, and then to do as much as possible to recharge my social battery so I can do it again with the next, most pressing priority.”

Mike Florio Says Tom Brady Won’t Be Fully Committed To Raiders

On Saturday, NFL insider Mike Florio used Tom Brady’s newsletter to predict he wouldn’t be fully committed to the Raiders.

“Here’s a far more reliable litmus test regarding Brady’s role. He didn’t go to the annual meeting,” Florio wrote. “Any high-level team employee who is truly ‘all in’ with the effort attends the annual meeting. Those who aren’t present for the annual meeting are otherwise back in the building, grinding away.”

Florio questioned whether Brady would give his 100% to the team, suggesting that he would pay attention to his other endeavors.
