Tua Tagovailoa’s Ridiculous Act On The Sideline During Blowout Loss To Steelers Was Caught On Camera, And The Looks On His Teammates’ Faces Say It All [VIDEO]

NFL fans are teeing off on Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa over his bizarre move on the sidelines in Monday’s loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Dolphins’ remaining playoff hopes were dashed with a humiliating 28-15 loss to the Steelers on ‘Monday Night Football.’ The game wasn’t as competitive as the final score might indicate, either.
Miami needed two garbage-time touchdowns in the fourth quarter to close the gap. Tua Tagovailoa had another tough game in cold conditions with 22 completions for 253 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, per ESPN.
With the game practically over, cameras showed Tagovailoa laughing on the sidelines. Of course, this didn’t sit well with fans who wanted him to take a frustrating loss more seriously:
Tua Tagovailoa’s team was getting eliminated and he’s laughing like he already cleaned out his locker. Season on the line and Tua’s vibes were “at least I get my checks.”
It’s a wild image, honestly. A guy with a pea-shooter arm who folds in the cold, season slipping away—and… pic.twitter.com/aKpPn0tnXV

The Dolphins’ season essentially ended when they lost All-Pro wideout Tyreek Hill for the year with a gruesome knee injury in Week 4 against the New York Jets. Tagovailoa has struggled mightily without his go-to player, throwing 20 touchdowns against a league-leading 15 interceptions.
Tua Tagovailoa’s $212.4 Million Contract Looks Like A Mistake

In the 2024 offseason, the Dolphins handed Tagovailoa a lucrative four-year contract extension worth $212.4 million. Since signing that deal, he’s gone 12-13 with 39 touchdowns and 22 interceptions.
Not horrible numbers, but certainly not close to superstar-caliber, either. The Dolphins paid Tagovailoa to lift this franchise after leading them to consecutive playoff appearances. But they’re once again stuck in mediocrity, with no signs of long-term improvement.
Tagovailoa’s contract makes him impossible to trade or cut in the 2026 offseason. Miami is stuck with him for at least another year, but nobody said they can’t add another QB and show Tua the bench.
