Rival NFL general managers are reportedly furious with the Baltimore Ravens for nixing the trade they had in place for Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby.

On Tuesday evening, the Raiders announced that the Ravens scrapped the Maxx Crosby trade that was previously agreed upon. Baltimore was to send two first-round picks to Vegas in exchange for the five-time Pro Bowler.

It was subsequently reported that Crosby failed his physical with the Ravens, prompting the AFC North club to back out of the trade. Just like that, the 28-year-old is right back on the trade block.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, other GMs are furious with the Ravens for nixing the Crosby blockbuster deal. One GM told the NFL insider, “This is very much bullsh*t on Baltimore’s part.”

Pelissero noted that other teams have already addressed their needs by signing pass rushers. But things could have gone a lot differently around the league if the Ravens had never agreed to the trade that eventually fell through.

The Raiders Should Still Have No Problem Finding A Suitor For Maxx Crosby

The Las Vegas Raiders might not get two first-round picks for Crosby. But if Crosby and the Raiders are both motivated to get a deal done, it shouldn’t be hard to find another suitor.

The Dallas Cowboys reportedly offered first and second-round picks for Maxx Crosby. There’s little reason to think Jerry Jones would back away from completing that deal now, considering how much Crosby would single-handedly change their defense.

Additionally, the Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions need pass-rushing help. All of those clubs make sense as possible suitors for the 28-year-old superstar.

If the Raiders get back to working the phones, they can still resolve the matter ASAP. The Ravens stand to lose from this, however. Other teams are sure to be more hesitant to do business with them now.
