Vikings QB JJ McCarthy Was So Terrified Of The Packers’ Blitz That He Literally Sacked Himself [VIDEO]

The Green Bay Packers’ defense got a massive upgrade after landing Micah Parsons via a somewhat surprising trade with the Dallas Cowboys earlier this year, so they were always going to be a challenge for JJ McCarthy on Sunday. 

The former Michigan quarterback hasn’t had the best start to his professional career, missing his entire rookie season due to an injury and struggling as the starter in his second.

McCarthy gave Green Bay the easiest defensive play they’ll probably see all season, going down immediately after a snap in the early going. 

“JJ McCarthy what are you doing??” Dov Kleiman asked. 

“Sacking himself😭😭,” he added.

It doesn’t look like the Vikings offensive line would have been much help against the pass rush there, but to be fair, the QB only went down after contact with his center. 

McCarthy had gone 5-for-8 at the time of writing, throwing for 37 yards, with the Vikings down 7-3 in the second quarter. 

Kevin O’Connell will hope that the offensive miscue will be the last of its kind for the rest of the game.
