A couple dressed as a bride and groom participated in the Bad Bunny performance during halftime of the NFL Super Bowl 60. Fans were perplexed, unsure whether it was a real ceremony.

After the lights dimmed during his historic Super Bowl halftime show, some viewers were left wondering if they had just witnessed a legal wedding ceremony. During the show, a couple stood in center field and shared a cinematic kiss before the stage opened to reveal Lady Gaga.

The man and the woman appeared on the field during the show, wearing a white tuxedo and a wedding gown. That wasn’t fake.

The duo, who had married, sent Bad Bunny an invitation to their wedding, but ended up getting an invitation to a halftime show instead. Bunny’s representatives confirmed with USA TODAY that the couple truly tied the knot during the broadcast.

The path to the Super Bowl began with a simple long-shot invite. Instead of a standard RSVP, Bad Bunny invited them to join the Apple Music Halftime Show. Instead of just friends and family, the couple received more than 135 million viewers.

They were married live. It even included Bad Bunny signing the marriage certificate and a wedding cake being provided, “turning the moment into a joyful celebration unfolding in real time,” the news release said.
