Why Is George Kittle’s Wife Beefing With Two Former NFL Stars?

George Kittle’s wife, Claire, isn’t happy with two former NFL stars after one of their questions during an interview seemingly predicted what would happen with Kittle in the 2025 NFL playoffs.
Will Compton and Taylor Lewan, two former NFL players turned podcasters, are on Claire’s black list after George suffered a season-ending injury. During a conversation with fellow 49ers star Christian McCaffrey, Compton revealed that Claire turned against them after they asked Kittle what he would be willing to do to win a Super Bowl.
“George said his wife is mad at us,” Compton said. “We did the whole ‘would you do anything for a Super Bowl’ and I said would you go on IR the last week of the season if it meant the team could win a Super Bowl and he was like ‘Yes’. I don’t know why she’s mad at me, the football gods obviously didn’t deliver their end of the bargain. He sent me the clip and said ‘Yeah, you guys are on her shit list’. That’s fair, but if I could pass the blame, I’d put that on the football gods.”

Kittle tore his Achilles tendon in the NFC wild-card round against the Philadelphia Eagles. The 49ers beat the defending champions, but lost one of their best players in the process. Claire Kittle was upset during that moment.
George Kittle Seen Playing Golf Despite Dealing With Achilles Injury Rehab

While the rest of the NFL prepared for the 2025 championship Sunday, George Kittle took the golf course. The 49ers star used a power-assisted club, which allowed him to hit the ball without all the moves he normally requires to hit it properly.
The 49ers only played one more game after his injury. They could challenge the Seattle Seahawks again in 2026, but it remains to be seen which version of Kittle returns to the field.
The 32-year-old recorded 57 receptions for 628 yards and seven touchdowns in 11 games.
