Tom Brady is not a popular figure among WWE stars right now.

The former NFL superstar earned some ire around the WWE Universe when he referred to wrestling as “cute.” And he’s taking heat as a result.

Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl winner, got on WWE’s bad side during an appearance on Logan Paul’s ‘Impaulsive” podcast earlier this month. The two were discussing their involvement in an upcoming flag football tournament when Brady downplayed the wrestler’s athleticism.

“No, you’re not the level. You’re a good athlete but honestly when I’m thinking of Saquon Barkley and I’m thinking of Odell Beckham,” Brady said. “It’s cute, I love WWE, it’s very cute, but this is real football, real competition… Let’s see if you can bring it.”

Paul Heyman & Others Rip Tom Brady

Paul later fired back at Brady, posting a video of himself recreating Barkley’s reverse hurdle, then showing his own WWE highlights.

Multiple people associated with WWE stars have since joined him in going after Brady.

Paul Heyman suggested that it’s Rob Gronkowski who deserves all the credit for the pair’s success together. CM Punk and Drew McIntyre were also among wrestlers who addressed Brady’s comments at WWE 2K Creator Fest.

“What’s Tom Brady done? He’s thrown a football across a field that was caught by Gronkowski,” Heyman commented. “Gronkowski deserves the credit. Belichick and his girlfriend deserve the credit. But Tom Brady?”

Heyman also claimed he’s probably more athletic than Brady and could beat him up in the ring.

“If you put me and Tom Brady up athletically against one another in a majority of sports, I bet I’d be more athletic,” Paul said. “He used the word ‘cute’ when talking about WWE. I think in many ways, football is also cute. I’m a boxer, and you can probably put most NFL players and basketball players in a ring and they’d probably get their a** kicked by real boxers.”

“I don’t get annoyed; it comes from a place of ignorance,” McIntyre added.

Let’s hope this ends in Brady making his WWE debut. It simply has to happen now.
