WWE’s Randy Orton has let Tom Brady know he’s in for his finisher following recent comments from the former NFL quarterback.
Brady has drawn himself away from the good graces of many WWE superstars after referring to wrestling as “cute.”
The seven-time Super Bowl winner was a guest on Logan Paul’s podcast earlier this month and downplayed the wrestler’s athleticism. The conversation was part of a promotion for an upcoming flag football game in which both will be involved.
“It’s cute. I love the WWE, it’s very cute. But honestly, this is like real football, real competition,” Brady said ahead of the Saudi event.
Paul later fired back with a video, lackadaisically pulling off Saquon Barkley’s iconic reverse hurdle from the 2024 NFL season before showing off his own high-flying highlight reel.
Orton has since gotten involved. The 10-time Undisputed WWE Champion responded to Brady’s remark with a thinly veiled threat.
“Tom Brady had a few things to say about pro wrestling, I think he called it ‘cute’,” Orton said during an appearance on ESPN’s ‘Get Up’ this week. “I’ve never met him, but I’d love to meet Tom and hit him with an RKO. I’d say he’d be at the top of the list.”
Randy Orton Joins A Growing List

Orton joins several WWE personalities to have taken shots at Brady since the podcast appearance. The likes of Paul Heyman, Drew McIntyre, CM Punk, Oba Femi and Liv Morgan have all reacted to the GOAT’s claims.
Meanwhile, Orton is preparing for his 10th ‘Elimination Chamber’ appearance. The event is scheduled for this coming Saturday, and the winner will earn a spot against McIntyre, the current champion, at ‘WrestleMania 42’.
“Ten elimination chambers is a lot of elimination chambers,” Orton said. “My body has been beaten up and all over that ring. That chamber, man it is unforgiving, but I take a lot of experience with myself into that chamber and I’m going to use it this Saturday.”
‘Elimination Chamber’ will be available as a premium live event on ESPN and through the ESPN App. International fans can stream via WWE’s official platforms.
“I’m going to win the thing and go to WrestleMania,” Orton added. “I’ve only got so many years that I’m going to be able to do this and I’m enjoying every second of it.”
