NFL Wild Card Weekend is here, but for fans, watching every game has become too expensive.
For the first time, fans need multiple streaming subscriptions to see all six Wild Card games. To watch the entire opening round of the playoffs, fans would need to spend close to $100 for one month of services. At current prices, the total comes to about $88.95.
The NFL playoffs start Saturday and run over three days. The six games are spread across five different platforms. That means fans have to switch between several apps just to follow the games and find out who will reach Super Bowl LVI in Santa Clara.
Many fans have complained online, calling the setup confusing and overpriced. Some also pointed out that playoff football used to be easy to watch on free or cable TV. Now, streaming services control much of the postseason coverage.

NBC closes the day with Chargers vs. Patriots. Monday night ends the round with Texans vs. Steelers on ESPN and ABC.
The NFL promotes NFL+ as a cheaper option for some fans. According to the league, NFL+ Premium lets fans watch every playoff game live on mobile devices. The service also includes replays and RedZone during the regular season. The league currently offers 40 percent off an annual plan, with the deal ending Feb. 16, 2026.
Still, NFL+ does not fully replace traditional viewing for many households. Fans who prefer watching games on a TV must rely on the main broadcast partners.
After the Wild Card round, Seattle and Denver enter the playoffs with first round byes. They will host Divisional games next weekend. The NFL says fans can watch all those games on NFL+ as well.
As playoff football begins, excitement runs high. So does the price tag.
