Joe Burrow is finally returning to the field.

Burrow has been sidelined since suffering a turf toe injury in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported last week that a return date for him could be as early as Week 14 against the Buffalo Bills.

He was one week off.

It looks like Cincinnati’s star quarterback will be back just in time for the big Bengals-Ravens Thanksgiving Day matchup.

Burrow posted an Instagram story, indicating his return. The post is a throwback picture of himself in a Cavaliers jersey, accompanied by the caption, “He’s back.”

The original picture was posted after it was announced that LeBron James was returning home to Cleveland in 2014.

Burrow’s return means Joe Flacco, who’s been playing in Burrow’s absence, will now be the backup. He has been a starter for the team since the team acquired him.

Baltimore is currently in first place in the division after starting the season 1-5.

The Cincinnati Bengals, without Joe Burrow on the field, fell to the New England Patriots on Sunday.

Their latest home loss to the New England Patriots seems to have sealed their playoff fate, but it is not technically over just yet. The NFL’s official site still gives them a 1% chance of making the playoffs. The dream of returning to the Super Bowl is slipping further away for a franchise that is far from competitive in its division.

Burrow’s early-season injury played a significant role in keeping this team out of contention. He’s back now.

With another loss in the record column, the AFC North went further out of reach for them, even as Joe Burrow returns. However, it is not over until the fat lady sings.
