Dallas Cowboys rookie Alijah Clark became the talk of social media on Sunday after making a crazy special teams play in the Cowboys’ win over the Philadelphia Eagles at AT&T Stadium. Fans noticed the moment in the fourth quarter, and the clip went viral almost instantly.

The play happened during an important part of the game. The Cowboys punted the ball, and Clark lined up as a gunner. He sprinted downfield but got knocked to the ground by an Eagles player. Instead of staying down, he jumped back up, dodged another block, and chased Eagles returner Xavier Gipson.

When Gipson tried to cut upfield, Clark blasted him and forced a fumble, giving Dallas a huge momentum boost after trailing 21-14 at the end of the third quarter.

Fans called it one of the best plays of the game. Even the broadcast team took notice, as Tom Brady highlighted Clark’s toughness and effort during the replay.

“Look at that hustle! Who wants to be a gunner in the NFL? Not me,” Brady said on the call. “But Clark, relentless effort. Just great hustle, and then causing a massive turnover.”

Also, the team paid a heartwarming tribute to Marshawn Kneeland on the jumbotron during the game, which also touched the fans.

Hundreds of fans jumped onto X after the clip surfaced. Many highlighted the effort more than the hit itself.

NFL insider Jordan Schultz wrote, “This effort by #Cowboys rookie Alijah Clark really caught my attention. Incredible. And it’s one every team should show their players.”

Another added, “One of the those plays every Special Teams coach will have pulled up this week on why you’re never out of the fight. INCREDIBLE hustle & finish.”

Former quarterback Robert Griffin III also joined the discussion. He wrote, “Cowboys Rookie DB Alijah Clark is the difference between winning and losing. Watch the EFFORT on this play. Every parent should show this to their kids and every coach in the country should show this clip to their team. RELENTLESS EFFORT WINS GAMES.”

Clark didn’t talk about the play afterward, and he didn’t have to. His speed, the big hit, and the forced fumble said everything.

Eventually, the Cowboys finished the job, beating the Eagles 24-21.
