Cowboys QB Dak Prescott Throws Big-Time Shade At The Detroit Lions Before Must-Win ‘TNF’ Game [VIDEO]

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott threw some friendly shade at the Detroit Lions before their ‘Thursday Night Football’ clash at Ford Field.
The Cowboys and Lions are both in must-win situations tonight. At 6-5-1, the Cowboys are 1.5 games behind the 8-4 Philadelphia Eagles for the NFC East Division lead. With a win tonight, Detroit would move to 8-5 and within a game of the San Francisco 49ers for the NFC’s final wild card spot.
Before the game, NFL Network’s Jane Slater asked Prescott what he remembers about his last visit to Detroit. That was six years ago, back on November 17, 2019.
Prescott told Slater he remembers, “that we lit them up. Lot of passing yards. About to do it again.” The 32-year-old signal-caller even permitted Slater to quote him on that.
Just asked Dak Prescott what he remembers from the last one here “that we lit them up. Lot of passing yards. About to do it again”
I asked can I quote you on that “sure” with a confident smile #Cowboys pic.twitter.com/XS0nw3OdNc— Jane Slater (@SlaterNFL) December 4, 2025
In that game, Dak Prescott threw for 444 yards and three touchdowns, per ESPN. Dallas went on to win 35-27, though the Lions had to play Jeff Driskel in place of an injured Matthew Stafford.
Dak Prescott & Cowboys Likely Have To Win Out To Make The Postseason

Prescott’s Cowboys have been red-hot since the blockbuster trade for All-Pro defensive tackle Quinnen Williams with the New York Jets. They’ve gone 3-0 with Williams, including statement wins over the Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.
If Dallas wins out, they’ll finish 11-5-1. In that scenario, they would need the Eagles to lose just two of their final five games. That’s very doable with the way the Eagles, who will be without Jalen Carter for at least one game, have played this season.
Should the Cowboys lose tonight, it will get much tougher. They’d definitely have to win out and finish 10-6-1, then need Philadelphia to lose three of its final five games. Crazier things have happened, but Dallas stands a much better chance of reaching the postseason if it wins tonight.
