Dak Prescott Rips NFL Officiating After Heartbreaking Loss To Lions On ‘TNF’

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was highly critical of the officials who took charge of Thursday’s clash vs. the Detroit Lions following his team’s 44-30 loss.
The game was considered to be a must-win for both teams, given its playoff implications. And the Cowboys should have a tough time making it in, while Detroit has been handed a lifeline.
Prescott finished the game with 376 passing yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. He can hardly be blamed for the INTs, with the first one resulting from some lackadaisical route running from George Pickens, who was ripped by Richard Sherman after the game.
A different play stood out to Dak, however. Speaking to reporters in the wake of the defeat, he expressed displeasure at the notable pass interference call that went against tight end Jake Ferguson, claiming it was poor and unlike anything he had ever seen.
“Do I get fined for talking about this?… I’m sorry, that was bad,” he said. “I got to look at the film, maybe I can see it from their vantage point. I know I talked to the ref after, he said [Ferguson] aggressively pulled through. I’ve never seen a call like that.”

Fans Don’t Get What Dak Prescott Was So Mad About

Fans don’t think Dak did a great job of picking his battles there, considering that the call was declined and had no impact on the game.
The Cowboys benefiting from an overturned safety, as well as a few other calls, also helped form the argument.
“Lmfao why yall complaining about a declined penalty? It had absolutely no impact on the game,” one asked.

“Look at the tape of you being saved from a safety call while you’re at it,” another added.

“The penalty was declined and they decided to kick the field goal instead of going for it. What is there to even talk about?” wondered a third.

“Why are they complaining about a flag the was declined instead of questioning coaches call to kick a fg with 3 minutes left instead of going for it,” said a fourth.

Prescott and the Cowboys will have an extended rest period before playing the Minnesota Vikings on December 14, which should give CeeDee Lamb time to return after his frightening head injury in the third quarter of Thursday’s loss.
They definitely cannot afford to lose that one.
