Cincinnati Bengals TE Mike Gesicki Is Getting Called Out For His Horrible Effort On Joe Burrow’s Interception [VIDEO]
This article was originally published on Total Pro Sports.

Everyone but Cincinnati Bengals owner Mike Brown and de facto GM Duke Tobin knows that Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins need a lot of help.
If you’re new to following the NFL, get this. The Bengals missed the playoffs last year even though a) Joe Burrow led the NFL in passing yards and passing touchdowns b) Ja’Marr Chase won the wide receiver triple crown and c) Trey Hendrickson led the NFL in sacks.
The Bengals have been dreadful in just about every aspect except the passing game this year. Even a 40-year-old Joe Flacco kept the offense afloat when Burrow was sidelined for nine games with turf toe.
Cincinnati’s biggest weakness this year has been the defense. Per Pro Football Reference, they’re allowing a league-high 31.2 points per game. The offense put up 34 points against the Buffalo Bills on the road last week and still lost, after all.
But indeed, you win and lose as a team. And the offense, particularly tight end Mike Gesicki, must take some blame for Sunday’s ugly 24-0 shutout loss at home to the Baltimore Ravens.
Mike Gesicki Is Getting Destroyed For His Pathetic Effort On Joe Burrow’s Pick-Six

The Bengals’ season could be summarized on one play from yesterday’s game. Specifically, this unlucky pick-six Burrow threw that iced the game for the Ravens in the fourth quarter:
Work smarter, not harder 🤣
Kyle Van Noy picked it off, then handed it to the faster Alohi Gilman, who took it to the house!

A new camera angle shows that Mike Gesicki (number 88) could have put in a much better effort to thwart the pick six:
The Ravens updated version of the Glitch Blitz finished off the Bengals in Wk 15. Angry football fans called out Mike Gesicki for his awful effort on this play.
“gesicki fake looking for a tipped ball after clearly seeing it get picked off lmaoo. would’ve easily made the tackle but appreciate that bozo for allowing that cool TD to happen,” one fan said.

It’s not a good look for Mike Gesicki. But the Bengals are near the bottom of the AFC standings for a reason. Even if he made that tackle, it’s not like the Bengals were about to pull off a comeback with that defense.
