Shedeur Sanders entered Week 15 off a career-best performance against the Tennessee Titans. Sunday was easily his worst game.

Any hopes the rookie had of building on that were dashed. It began early with head coach Kevin Stefanski and a play-calling wristband.

The Cleveland Browns recorded a false start and had 12 men in the huddle before Sanders’ first snap. The team was backed up inside their own one-yard line on their first drive. Shedeur Sanders could only hand off the ball three straight snaps before they had to punt the ball away.

Sanders had trouble communicating with his offensive huddle during the first quarter. He was forced to run to the sideline to get the play directly from head coach Kevin Stefanski. That ended with a delay of the game penalty.

After the penalty, Shedeur Sanders had to swap wristbands. It left the FOX broadcast booth puzzled.

Social Media Is Sure Kevin Stefanski Is Sabotaging Shedeur Sanders

Kevin Stefanski has faced backlash regarding Shedeur Sanders before. Just last week, he was blasted for taking the young quarterback off the field against the Titans. His horrific play call cost the Browns in their 31-29 loss to the Tennessee Titans.

After the game, Stefanski declined to discuss “specifics” but merely said he expected better execution on the play.

Following issues with a wristband, social media was sure he was indeed sabotaging Sanders.

“Something’s fishy,” one person posted.

“Sabotage,” another person stated.

“They setting him up for failure! What a shame,” a third person said of Shedeur Sanders.

“I hope this kid gets out of Cleveland! They are doing their best to ruin his career!” one final fan commented.

Following the game, Stefanski stated, “Yeah, there was a miscommunication early.” “There was something. I don’t know that the…ah..the wristband got something on it or whatever it was.”

The loss dropped Cleveland to 3-11 and cemented what has become a lost 2025 season.
