New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs might be in huge trouble. He is alleged to have assaulted his personal chef over an argument about payment.

The report stated the alleged incident occurred at Diggs’ Dedham, Mass. home. It came one day after the Patriots star helped his team to a “Monday Night Football” victory over the Giants. The woman, whom Diggs had allegedly employed, first made the allegations to police on December 16. At the time, she did not want to pursue charges, per PEOPLE. On December 23, however, she told the cops she did want to proceed with the case.

Diggs, through his attorney David Meier, has vehemently denied the allegations. The Patriots added in a statement of their own that they “support Stefon.”

New England just clinched the AFC East on Sunday. They will play a game on Sunday against the Dolphins before it begins postseason play the following week. Stefon Diggs has recorded 82 catches for 970 yards and four touchdowns in 16 games this season.

He’s due in court for arraignment on January 23. That is two days before the scheduled kickoff of the AFC Championship game.
