Raiders superstar defender Maxx Crosby might be subtly pointing to his next destination.
The Chicago Bears are expected to focus on defense this offseason. One dynamic player could change everything for them going forward. The Bears want a pass rush. Maxx Crosby might want a new home.
Things got hectic between Crosby and the Raiders when the team placed their star defensive end on injured reserve. That is not a decision that he particularly liked. The team decided to shut down the five-time Pro Bowler “with Crosby’s best interest in mind.”
FOX Sports insider Jay Glazer said the Pro Bowl defensive end walked out on the team after hearing the news. That was all it took for trade proposals to pop up in the wake of their discourse. One of them had Crosby headed to the Chicago Bears. In return, the Raiders would get star wideout DJ Moore, 2026 first and fifth-round picks, and a 2027 second-round pick.
A second proposal had Maxx Crosby shipped off to the Baltimore Ravens. In return, they receive WR Rashod Bateman, a 2026 1st-round pick, and a 2027 1st-round pick. A third proposal popped up this week, sending Maxx Crosby to the Commanders. He seems to have his prime destination.
Maxx Crosby Loves Caleb Williams

Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby is tired of cycling through quarterbacks. He sees one in Chicago doing big things. Based on his comments, it seems Crosby wouldn’t mind if Williams were his signal caller.
On the January 20 episode of his podcast “The Rush With Maxx Crosby,” the veteran DE praised him for his ability to make plays. He certainly couldn’t ignore what he did against the Rams in the Divisional Round.
“Nuts. I still can’t get over that throw,” Crosby said about the play. With Chicago trailing 17-10 and facing a fourth-and-4, Williams delivered a last-second game-tying TD.
“That was one of the craziest — I couldn’t believe my eyes, bro. I was sitting there in silence like, what the (expletive)? When he started sprinting directly back, I’m like, it’s over. And this (expletive) threw it from the 40 over the DBs. That was one of the craziest plays I’ve seen, literally ever.”
Head coach Ben Johnson and general manager Ryan Poles were asked about Maxx Crosby in their end-of-season press conference. Poles smirked and replied with “I don’t know” when asked about Crosby.
When a player is under contract, you can’t exactly say too much regarding them. However, the signs are starting to point in that direction.
