A new video has quickly debunked claims that Bo Nix broke his ankle in the Denver Broncos’ locker room, not on the field. 

The Broncos quarterback is out for this Sunday’s AFC Championship Game following his injury against the Buffalo Bills last weekend. Head coach Sean Payton revealed shortly after the game that the QB broke his ankle on the second-to-last play in overtime. 

The news came as a real surprise, given that Nix seemed fine after the game. Even Peyton Manning thought he was being had when he saw the announcement. 

Nix is expected to be out for at least three months due to the injury.

Claims of Nix actually breaking the ankle during the locker room celebrations have surfaced. But there’s a clip of the player appearing to be in excruciating pain on the sideline. 

The former Oregon star was seen wincing while Will Lutz lined up for the field goal that won the game.
