Danica Patrick was like many other people tuning into the Grammys over the weekend. She wanted to see who won in different categories and watch some incredible performances. With a ton of winners, also came a lot of backlash towards ICE. It became the night’s theme.

Bad Bunny took a shot at the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement during his Grammy Awards acceptance speech on Sunday evening. Bunny won the Grammy Award for Best Música Urbana Album. During his acceptance speech, the Super Bowl 60 halftime show performer used his platform to send a message. “Before I say thanks to God, I’m going to say, ICE out!” the legendary rapper stated.

He was far from the only person to speak his mind about Ice. Later in the show, Billy Eilish accepted the Grammy for song of the year and took the moment onstage to address immigration. “No one is illegal on stolen land,” Eilish said in her acceptance speech. “It’s just really hard to know what to say and what to do right now, and I just, I feel really hopeful in this room.”

She continued: “And I feel like we just need to keep fighting and speaking up and protesting, and our voices really do matter, and the people matter.” She and her brother were accepting an award for Eilish’s song “Wildflower” off her 2024 album “Hit Me Hard and Soft.”

Not everybody cared for her comments, and that included Danica Patrick.

Pop star Billie Eilish is facing backlash after she declared “no one is illegal on stolen land” at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony. She is being accused of virtue signaling for the anti-ICE remarks she made while accepting the Song of the Year award.

In response, Danica Patrick has taken to her Instagram story and shared a slew of messages directed at Eilish.

“What about if we all showed up to her mansion and said we are going to live there now? It’s stolen land right? She doesn’t own it,” one critic replied.

Another added: “Meanwhile, she’s chilling in her … Hollywood Hills fortress with armed guards and a moat of privilege. If the land’s so stolen, sis, hand over the keys to the nearest tribe or migrant family.”

Patrick has been increasingly outspoken since retiring from her sport. Patrick did not hide her displeasure with the NFL’s choice of Bad Bunny as the Super Bowl halftime show. “Oh fun,” the former NASCAR driver wrote in September.

“No songs in English should not be allowed at one of America’s highest-rated television events of the year… not just for sports.”

She and many others are sure to tune into Turning Point USA’s Halftime show instead.
