The Seattle Seahawks will have the chance to tie their Super Bowl record (1-2) with a win against the New England Patriots on Sunday. The NFC champions will try to get revenge on the team that beat them 11 years ago in Super Bowl 49 with a last-second game-sealing interception on the 1-yard line.

Seattle enters the game as 4.5-point favorites over the Patriots. Their win pays -230, which is still good. While Kendall Jenner bet $1 million on the Patriots’ money line, somebody else put the same amount on the Seahawks. Patrick Everson of VegasInsider shared on Wednesday that somebody in Florida had bet $1 million on the Seahawks’ money line. If successful, it would pay $434,782.61.

As great as the payout would be, it won’t be for this person’s personal spending. The bettor, an attorney, said he plans to donate the winnings to pediatric cancer research.

Supercomputer Predicts Seattle Seahawks Will Win Super Bowl 60

Everybody (and everything) has chimed in on the upcoming Super Bowl 60 winner. A supercomputer, made by Opta Analytics, predicted the winner of the big game.

The model “calculates projections by looking at each team’s quarterback and EVE (efficiency vs. expected) performance in terms of yards added in expected passing situations. The model then analyzes every regular-season matchup and assigns each team a predicted win percentage for its games. For preseason rankings, it incorporates how quarterback and coaching changes might impact those teams.”

It gave the Seahawks a 51.9 percent chance of winning and the Patriots a 48.1 percent chance. If the supercomputer is right, the Florida attorney will have reasons to celebrate. It remains to be seen if the Seahawks aren’t short-handed for the game.
