Saquon Barkley Drops Bombshell Hint on A.J. Brown’s Next Team
This article was originally published on Total Pro Sports.

Philadelphia Eagles running back shared insight about A.J. Brown’s passions growing up, which could hint at where the talented wide receiver could play next. Brown has been with the Eagles since 2022, helping the team win Super Bowl 59 after he started expressing his frustrations with the offense.
This season, things weren’t different. Brown shared multiple cryptic posts on social media, sparking rumors of a potential trade. The wide receiver has been linked with multiple teams since the 2025 season ended. After a trade proposal sent him to Los Angeles to team up with Justin Herbert on the Chargers, four other teams emerged as potential destinations for the former Tennessee Titans star.
It seems that one of those teams could have an advantage, given Barkley’s most recent admission about his teammate.
Saquon Barkley Says A.J. Brown Grew Up Supporting The New England Patriots

During a Friday conversation with NFL Live, the former New York Giants running back confirmed that A.J. Brown is a “big” New England Patriots fan.
“I will say this, I do not want to speak for AJ Brown,” Barkley said. “I love him as a teammate and a brother but he is a huge Patriots fan. He’s one of those guys. Growing up, I was a Jets fan. My dad has a Jets tattoo. I was able to kind of move on now when I got to the NFL.
“He’s always been a big Patriots fan. I think this year before Dallas, Tom Brady, he was throwing him the ball. So, for him, he was like a kid in the candy store. But that wink is just all fun and games but I will tell. I will give the inside scoop. AJ Brown is a big Patriots fan.”

While this could prompt people to believe the Patriots have the upper hand in a potential race to trade for Brown, Barkley made it clear that he doesn’t think Brown will leave for New England.
A.J. Brown admitted he didn’t like Mike Vrabel during his first season in Tennessee. Things have changed, and perhaps a reunion with the 2025 NFL Coach of the Year could lure Brown away from Philly.
