NFC Contender Is Being Linked To Superstar WR Mike Evans In Move That Could Totally Flip The Super Bowl Odds

Mike Evans’ stock continues to rise in the 2026 NFL offseason. The veteran has been linked with multiple teams in recent weeks, including the Buffalo Bills and the Baltimore Ravens. A potential retirement was in the cards, too, but Evans will likely return for another season.
Other teams could have an interest in the wide receiver, both in the AFC and the NFC. One of the latest teams to join the list of potential sweepstakes had a disappointing 2025 season. Evans could help them bounce back and compete in 2026.
His 1,000-yard streak came to an end last season, after injury issues limited him to eight games. Evans caught 30 passes for 368 yards and three touchdowns.
Detroit Lions Urged To Make A Move For Mike Evans

Sports Illustrated’s Vito Chirco mentioned three free agents the Detroit Lions could pursue in the 2026 NFL free agency. Evans was one of them, even though they have capable receivers in Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams and Sam LaPorta.
“Evans, who has spent the first 12 seasons of his career in Tampa Bay, has the credentials of a future Pro Football Hall of Famer,” Chirco wrote. “Most notably, he recorded north of 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first 11 seasons (2014-2024). During this same period, he also earned six Pro Bowl nods and won a Super Bowl (Super Bowl LV).”
“He’ll be 33 entering the 2026 season, and his best years may be behind him now after suffering through an injury-riddled 2025 campaign.”
Evans proved that he can be impactful last season. His injury history remains a question mark, but if healthy, Evans can be a solid contributor.
