Howard is 29 and has started 93 games over his seven-year career. Despite how good he is, the Texans clearly do not want to pay him a ton of money. They have upcoming contracts on Will Anderson Jr. and CJ Stroud to deal with.
The Cleveland Browns Might Be All-In For Shedeur Sanders

During the 2025 season, Shedeur Sanders showed flashes of possibly being the answer at quarterback. However, it was hard for him to get any better when you did not have the time to throw the football. Fresh off a Pro Bowl year, a move was made for his future.
The team reportedly acquired right tackle Tytus Howard in a trade with the Houston Texans to help him out. Howard will receive a three-year, $63 million extension to keep him in town and to help Sanders. It marks the first move in what is expected to be a major offensive line overhaul this offseason for the Browns.
The offensive lineman ranked 58th at his position. However, he also did not allow a sack, per PFF’s numbers.
If the Cleveland Browns are serious about turning a corner, this move had to happen.
