New Clear-Cut Favorite Emerges To Land Bengals Superstar Trey Hendrickson In Blockbuster Signing

Trey Hendrickson is on the move following the Cincinnati Bengals’ decision not to franchise tag him.
And he’s now being linked with multiple teams.
The Dallas Cowboys are among them, having missed out on Maxx Crosby, who’s Baltimore-bound. And Polymarket has the NFC East franchise as the favorite to sign him.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported earlier this month that the Cowboys had their eyes on Hendrickson.
“Dallas must now pivot to free agency to land its pass rusher. It has monitored Trey Hendrickson dating back to the trade deadline. He’s now a free agent. Jaelan Phillips, Odafe Oweh and Boye Mafe will be firmly on Dallas’ radar in the coming days,” Fowler wrote.
The Cowboys recently traded for Green Bay Packers defensive tackle Rashan Gary, but the prediction market still has Hendrickson going to Dallas.
ESPN’s Dan Graziano has also predicted that the four-time Pro Bowler will secure a three-year, $84 million contract this year, $28 million of which would be guaranteed.
Dallas Cowboys Making Moves For Cap Space

The Cowboys have already begun moving money around to give them cap flexibility following recent moves.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported on Monday that the team restructured offensive tackle Terence Steele’s contract. The new agreement includes $22 million in guaranteed money and a base value of $33-$36 million.
It would see the team create $13 million in cap space.
A deal for Trey Hendrickson would be massive for the Dallas Defense, which lost Micah Parsons last offseason.
The All-Pro pass rusher registered a career-high 17.5 sacks in 2023, repeating the feat the following season and leading the NFL in said category.
He didn’t have as great a 2025, with injuries limiting him to just seven games. But he would represent a major coup for Dallas should they land him.
