Other teams that were in on the Maxx Crosby trade sweepstakes received the most unlikely of gifts on Tuesday night: He’s still available.

Last week, the Las Vegas Raiders announced they had agreed to trade Maxx Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens. In return for Crosby, the Raiders were to receive Baltimore’s 2026 and 2027 first-round picks.

But in a stunning development, the Raiders announced this evening that the Ravens backed out of the Crosby blockbuster trade. As it turns out, the 28-year-old failed his physical that subsequently nixed the trade.

With Crosby back on the trade block, the Polymarket now lists the Dallas Cowboys as the heavy favorites to land the five-time Pro Bowler:

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that the Cowboys still have interest in making a move for Crosby. Last week, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Dallas initially offered first and second-round picks for Crosby.

Cowboys Need To Go All-In For Maxx Crosby

The Cowboys’ defensive makeover is off to a nice start. They have signed veteran safety Jalen Thompson and acquired Green Bay Packers star edge rusher Rashan Gary.

Now, Jerry Jones should be extra motivated to go all-in for Crosby. Dallas has two first-round picks this year, and the NFC East looks to be wide open with the Philadelphia Eagles losing several key contributors from 2025.

Crosby is the difference-maker Dallas needs to re-emerge as a playoff contender. He’s not as explosive as Micah Parsons, but finding players of Crosby’s caliber is still easier said than done. Even if it costs two firts, Jerry Jones should do whatever it takes to bring Crosby to Dallas.
