Chicago Bears star quarterback Caleb Williams had a fascinating reaction to the news of the Baltimore Ravens landing superstar defensive end Trey Hendrickson in free agency.
After nixing the blockbuster trade for Maxx Crosby they had in place with the Las Vegas Raiders, the Ravens pivoted to sign Trey Hendrickson in free agency. The ex-Cincinnati Bengals star agreed to a lucrative four-year deal worth $112 million.
Caleb Williams appears to be awfully excited about Hendrickson going to the Ravens, judging by his reaction with this Instagram comment:

One might wonder why Williams seems thrilled about Hendrickson moving from one AFC team to another. Well, the Ravens’ backing out of the Crosby trade and signing Hendrickson only helps Chicago’s chances of landing the Raiders’ superstar via trade.
The Bears have been widely mentioned as a possible landing spot for Maxx Crosby. Coming off a surprise 11-6 season and trip to the Divisional Round, they have every incentive to make another win-now move for a player like Crosby.
Can Chicago close out a deal to trade for Crosby? Well, we know it would make Mr. Williams a very happy man.
Caleb Williams’ Bears Have Been Busy In Early Stages Of The Offseason

Chicago GM Ryan Poles has been awfully active since the new league year began. His first big move was shipping star wide receiver DJ Moore to the Buffalo Bills. That cleared more cap space and landed Chicago a second-round pick.
The Bears also acquired veteran center Garrett Bradbury in a trade with the New England Patriots, after Drew Dalman unexpectedly retired. Poles then bolstered the defense by signing ex-Seattle Seahawks safety Coby Bryant, former Bills corner Cam Lewis and veteran defensive lineman Neville Gallimore.
Chicago still needs more edge rushers, though. With most of the top free agents finding new homes, Poles may be extra motivated to try and land Maxx Crosby.
