The New England Patriots went viral on Sunday, and for all the wrong reasons. It seemed that everybody knew they would be better off not touching on certain topics except for them.

Amid the Mike Vrabel-Dianna Russini scandal, the reigning AFC champions decided to celebrate a special day. The rumors involving the team’s coach and the NFL insider have gone as far as saying that Vrabel impregnated Russini with her first son, named Michael.

The Patriots sent a message to all the mothers on their day on Sunday.

It didn’t take long for fans to react to the post. Unsurprisingly, many disapproved of the Patriots celebrating this day, knowing all the stuff happening with the face of the franchise.

“This might be the most tone deaf, out of touch, social media team in history,” one fan said.

“The person who sent this tweet will get harsher punishment than the head coach,” another fan said.

“This is absolutely insane for you guys to post rn lmfao. Bravo to your social media manager,” a third fan added.

“It’s Mike Vrabel’s favorite holiday,” a fourth fan said.

“Is Coach calling Diana to wish her a happy Mother’s Day for his illegitimate child?” a fifth fan commented.

“Social team definitely discussed the repercussions of this post but had to send it anyway,” a sixth fan said.

This is a tough spot for the Patriots. Prediction markets suggest they will eventually part ways with Mike Vrabel, and the social media outrage could accelerate that process.
