“Non-essential Commentary” shared a clip of a man talking on the phone on a sidewalk. At one point, he notices somebody approaching him.

Cameras caught the moment another man ran at full speed against the yellow t-shirt dude, who used the right side of his body to neutralize the threat and send the other man to sleep.

The original tweet racked up nearly 700K views in two days. The clip reached new levels on Friday, when former NFL star Will Compton shared on X. He used to explain the concept of “gap integrity.”

Gap integrity is the principle of each defensive player taking care of their assigned gap. When the defense does a proper job, every potential running lane is accounted for by a defender. The offense would have a hard time finding open space to run through.
