Despite being away from the NFL for almost two decades, Mike Alstott continues to train hard. He doesn’t have plans to return to the league, but he looks better than some active players.

He played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1996-2007, becoming a six-time Pro Bowler and winning a Super Bowl in the 2002 season. As great as he was, recording 5,088 rushing yards and 58 touchdowns on 1,359 carries, Alstott couldn’t make it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

He continued taking care of his body long after his retirement. So much so that he continues to be in good shape.

On Wednesday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers shared a video of the retired fullback on Instagram. Alstott did curls like it was nothing.

“A-Train looks like he could still play on Sundays,” they captioned the post.

A lot of people reacted to the video, flooding the comments section with positive remarks.

“An old lion, is still a lion,” a fan wrote on Facebook.

“I want to see him back in the NFL,” another fan said.

“He looks like Hardcore Holly,” a third commented.

“Sign him back,” somebody demanded.

Alstott made a strong impact on the field during his best days. He might not be ready to play today, but he could make a solid strengthening coach.
