A couple of months after he lost at the Fanatics Flag Football Classic, Tom Brady took another loss. This time, however, it didn’t happen on the field. Instead, Brady lost to a fellow broadcast analyst.

Entering his third season as FOX Sports’ No. 1 analyst for its NFL coverage, Brady continues to make strides. However, he might not be ready to compete with the top of the top in the industry.

On Tuesday, Fox Sports announced that Greg Olsen, its No. 2 analyst, won the Sports Emmys Award for Outstanding Personality – Event Analyst. Brady, who also lost last season, was among the nominees.

Greg Olsen Clears The Air About Relationship With Tom Brady

Despite being replaced by Brady as FOX’s No. 1 analyst, Greg Olsen stated there was no animosity toward the seven-time Super Bowl champion.

“There’s this idea that there’s this personal animosity and competition. There’s not,” Olsen said in May 2025. “My relationship with Tom and Fox and Joe Davis and Burkhardt and all my people at Fox couldn’t be better. On the other parallel line to that, yes, I want to ascend in the industry, and I’m sure Joe Davis wants to call Super Bowls as well, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t like Burkhardt. Any motivated guy, you want to be the best at what you do. That is not a knock on the people that are ahead of you.”

While he is No. 2 now, Olsen became a fan-favorite once he transitioned from the field to the booth. This award confirmed that.
