Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur has drawn the ire of NFL fans after addressing the situation involving Josh Jacobs.
Jacobs is practicing with the team while prosecutors decide whether to file charges against him following his arrest in Brown County, Wisconsin, on May 26. He was out on the field for OTAs on Tuesday.
LaFleur said the controversy surrounding the running back hadn’t caused any distractions, claiming it was “business as usual,” per NFL.com.

As mentioned above, the three-time Pro Bowler was arrested late last month. He is facing accusations of strangulation and suffocation, among others.
Jacobs, who was released on May 27, has denied the allegations via a statement from his attorneys.
“Our office has requested additional investigation, as there is reason to believe that additional evidence may exist that would impact whether criminal charges are appropriate, and what charges would be issued. … The investigation remains open and is ongoing,” District Attorney David Lasee said last week.
Jacobs remains one of the top running backs in the NFL despite a slight dip last season. The 28-year-old rushed for 929 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2025, helping the NFC North team to a playoff appearance.
