New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel suffered a big loss ahead of the 2026 NFL season. The Patriots just acquired star wide receiver AJ Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday.
After months of rumors and speculation, the Eagles pulled the trigger on a move that was inevitable at this point. Brown joined the team that he grew up rooting for and Philadelphia received a first-round pick.
On the other hand, the Patriots suffered a big loss. After signing a three-year, $15 million deal with the New England Patriots in March, tight end Julian Hill won’t play in the 2025 season after sustaining an injury in practice.

After learning about the terrible news, Mike Vrabel expressed his sadness over the situation. He shared that Hill had made an impact on the team already.
“Julian won’t be able to play this season. That’s plain and simple. Devastating, awful,” Vrabel told reporters Tuesday. “Really enjoy the person, and want to have him around here as much as we possibly can. But that’s just because he wouldn’t be able to play this season.”
Hill played the first three seasons of his career with the Miami Dolphins, playing 45 games, posting 33 receptions for 288 yards.
