Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold has been arrested on kidnapping and robbery charges.
Arnold’s name surfaced in an alleged plot to kidnap and rob three people earlier this year.
The Tampa Police Department announced his arrest on Wednesday night, with the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office also announcing an intention to file charges.
“Arnold is facing multiple felony charges which carry a potential sentence of up to life in prison,” a statement from the attorney’s office reads.
Arnold is facing four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery. He is expected to appear in Hillsborough County court on Thursday.
Police had already made six other arrests in connection with the kidnapping. They previously charged Arianna Del Valle, Jasmine Randazzo, Lyndell Hudson II, Christion Williams, Freddie Hughes and Boakai Eugene Hilton.
Police note that Arnold called a police station to report that $100,000 in cash had been stolen from an Airbnb he was renting in Largo in February. The CB also reported that an $80,000 necklace and other items were missing.
Three males in their late teens were kidnapped in Tampa just hours later.
Police are accusing Arnold and Hilton of getting Del Valle and Randazzo to lure one of the victims to an apartment. Two other co-defendants were waiting in a closet and confronted the individuals when they showed up.
Authorities note that the teens had visible injuries from “being battered, held at gunpoint, and pistol-whipped before their personal property was stolen and they were ordered to leave.”
Terrion Arnold Branded The “Primary Conspirator” Following Kidnapping & Robbery

Police said Arnold and Hilton watched this all unfold on a live stream. The CB’s name also showed up in texts among the other defendants when they were planning the kidnapping.
“Investigators believe, based on evidence gathered, that Arnold was the primary conspirator,” the cops noted.
The Lions have released a statement acknowledging the arrest but declined to comment “out of respect for the ongoing legal process.”
Meanwhile, Arnold’s agent, Denise White of EAG Sports Management, has released a statement in the player’s defense.
“There is no credible evidence linking Mr. Arnold to these allegations,” it reads. “Instead, the government appears to be relying on testimony from multiple convicted felons who have admitted their own involvement and may have substantial incentives to shift blame in an effort to lessen their sentences. Mr. Arnold looks forward to his day in court and is confident that the judicial process will lead to his ultimate vindication.”
The state attorney’s office will request that Arnold remain in jail until the trial. A trial hearing has not been set.
