Cam Skattebo Gives Giants Fans A Heart Attack — Nearly Blows Out His Knee Performing Unnecessary Stunt At Fanatics Fest [VIDEO]

Cam Skattebo is testing the patience of every Giants fan still nervous about his surgically repaired leg.
The second-year running back appeared at WWE’s Fanatics Fest activation over the weekend, where fans could recreate entrances from their favorite wrestlers. Skattebo picked Triple H and walked out to his Motörhead entrance music, “The Game.” Instead of spitting water like Triple H traditionally does, Skattebo pointed to his injured leg and then went for a full backflip.

Cam Skattebo Can’t Resist Another Risky Celebration

The landing twisted his surgically repaired right leg, the same one that ended his rookie season back in October when he suffered a gruesome ankle injury against the Philadelphia Eagles. That injury included an open dislocation, a broken fibula and a torn deltoid ligament, the kind of trauma that typically requires a long, careful recovery.
This isn’t even the first time Skattebo’s flips have alarmed fans. Back in May, he pulled off a similar backflip after hitting a home run at a celebrity softball game, prompting the same wave of concern from Giants Twitter. Fans clearly haven’t forgotten that moment, and this weekend’s repeat performance only reignited the worry.
Skattebo did show off some coordination elsewhere at the event, booting a clean field goal with his uninjured left foot.
Cam Skattebo’s Recovery Timeline Remains On Track, For Now

Despite the flair for danger, Skattebo’s actual rehab has reportedly gone well. He was cleared out of his walking boot by December and progressed to jogging at around 75 percent capacity by spring, according to a report from earlier this summer.
Doctors originally gave him a recovery window of four to six months following the injury, similar to the typical timeline for ankle fracture recovery outlined by orthopedic specialists.
Skattebo hasn’t shied away from drawing attention during his recovery, having previously entertained fans through Twitch livestreams and public appearances at UFC events and WWE shows. His personality has made him one of the most talked-about young players in the league, injury or not.
No NFL front office wants to remind a player that they shouldn’t do backflips, especially nine months removed from a serious leg injury. Still, Skattebo continues doing things his own way. As long as he’s ready by Week 1, the Giants will likely let this latest scare slide, even if it costs a few fans some sleep.
