Andrew Luck retired at age 29 on August 24, 2019. He did so because an unrelenting cycle of physical injuries and constant pain drained his joy for the game. He stated that he had “fallen out of love” with football. Former Colts tight end Eric Ebron claimed that Luck retired because Chris Ballard gave him an ultimatum.

Luck said he was no longer willing to make the 100% mental and physical commitment required to play quarterback.

Luck dealt with a relentless barrage of severe injuries. His medical history included a lacerated kidney, torn abdominal muscles, a torn labrum in his throwing shoulder, and a chronic ankle/calf issue.

He stated he felt completely “stuck” in a continuous loop of injury, pain, and rehab. Since then, there have been rumors that Andrew Luck would come back. Those rumors were back this week.

The viral footage demonstrates the 36-year-old quarterback effortlessly scanning a practice field back at his college alma mater, Stanford University. Subsequently, the highly celebrated Andrew Luck activates his classic throwing mechanics to launch an absolute bullet down the sideline.

The football travels perfectly through the air before landing precisely in the hands of three-time Pro Bowl tight end Zach Ertz. Additionally, the incredible arm strength displayed by the former Colts leader instantly generated widespread excitement.
