Aaron Rodgers can do a lot of things on the football field, but he has certainly never done this.

Rodgers confirmed that the 2026 NFL season will be his 22nd and final year in the league. Playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers on a one-year deal, the 42-year-old quarterback stated, “This is it” regarding his retirement. His reported desire to become a dad could be a reason why he is laying just one last year.

That means that he has one final time to make it to the Super Bowl. He hasn’t been back since he won it with the Green Bay Packers in 2011.

Social media is erupting over the video game version of Aaron Rodgers. Electronic gaming enthusiasts are losing their minds over a newly released clip from Madden gameplay.

Specifically, the 42-year-old signal-caller scored an incredibly athletic rushing touchdown against the Bengals. Rather than executing his trademark championship belt dance, the electronic avatar performed an outrageous backflip in the back of the end zone.

If Rodgers tried that in real life, his season would be over. This unexpected performance immediately caught the attention of more than 27,000 social media users.

Aaron Rodgers has an overall rating of 79 in the launch edition of Madden NFL 27.

At 42 years old, Aaron Rodgers enters the 2026 NFL season with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the final time. Reunited with head coach Mike McCarthy, Rodgers leads an upgraded offense looking for a strong final campaign.

The hiring of Mike McCarthy following Mike Tomlin’s departure breathed new life into Rodgers’ decision to return for one final season.

Reconnecting with McCarthy, with whom he won a Super Bowl in Green Bay, provides a familiar offensive structure. Pittsburgh fortified its offensive weapons around Rodgers to give him what he needs to succeed.

Wide receiver DK Metcalf anchors the passing game alongside newly acquired veteran Michael Pittman Jr. High-upside rookie addition Germie Bernard and running back Rico Dowdle add depth and versatility to the offense.

During the 2025 NFL regular season, Aaron Rodgers started 16 games and led the team to a 10-6 record. If he can put up the same numbers from last year, the team has a chance to go far in the playoffs.
