NFL Fans Want Raiders Coach Arrested For “Outright Fraud” Over His Comments Just Hours Before Brock Bowers’ Surgery News Broke [VIDEO]

Klint Kubiak took over a Raiders team desperate for stability. He arrived fresh off a Super Bowl LX win as Seattle’s offensive coordinator. And Wednesday marked his final media session before his head coaching debut.
Reporters naturally asked about the health of two key names heading into Sunday’s opener. Both Brock Bowers and Maxx Crosby had battled knee issues throughout the offseason, leaving their availability for the Dolphins matchup in question.
Kubiak’s answer left little room for concern. “Yeah, we’re expecting to have all our guys ready for Sunday,” he said.
The Timing Of His Comments Sparked Instant Backlash

That confidence looked very different just hours later. Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport reported that Bowers had already undergone a meniscus trim on Tuesday, a full day before Kubiak’s press conference took place.
Fans quickly connected the timeline once the news broke, accusing Kubiak of misleading reporters about a procedure that had already happened.
“I hate these coaches playing games with the injury report. Also I get that they don’t give a f**k about our fantasy teams though. Just sucks. Injuries suck and coaches are lame asf,” one fan wrote.

“So let me get this straight — the Head Coach of the Las Vegas Raiders didn’t know his best player had a knee injury and was getting surgery in Dallas while this presser was going on? Ok…” a user wrote.

Injury Report Rules Give Coaches Some Wiggle Room

NFL teams aren’t required to release official injury designations until later in the week, which gives coaches like Kubiak legal room to keep things vague during Wednesday sessions.
Still, fans argued Kubiak crossed a line by actively suggesting Bowers would play rather than simply declining to comment.
The situation adds an awkward footnote to what’s already been a challenging stretch of injury news for Las Vegas this preseason. Running back Ashton Jeanty has also dealt with a lingering ankle issue, and Kubiak has repeatedly stayed guarded when discussing that situation publicly as well.
Kubiak has yet to address the Bowers timeline directly since the news of the surgery broke. For a coach trying to build early trust with a fan base already worn down by years of losing, Wednesday’s optics couldn’t have been much worse.
