The Kansas City Chiefs suffered two devastating injuries to their top wide receivers during Sunday’s victory against Las Vegas. Star pass-catcher Rashee Rice pulled up awkwardly and exited the divisional matchup early in the first quarter. Specifically, Rice suffered a right hamstring injury after catching a short pass along the right sideline.
Team trainers evaluated him on the sideline before officially ruling him out for the remainder of the game. Later in the fourth quarter, deep-threat receiver Tyquan Thornton suffered an even more gruesome lower-leg injury.
The tackle caused Thornton to dislocate his left ankle in a very painful-looking manner. Medical personnel quickly rushed onto the field and carted the emotional receiver directly to the locker room.
