Erin Andrews gave fans a peek at what it’s really like to cover an NFL game when the weather refuses to cooperate.
The Fox sideline reporter worked Sunday’s game between the Los Angeles Rams and Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. Rain continued through the game as the Rams rallied for a 24-20 win.
Andrews later shared a behind-the-scenes look at her preparation. She posted a series of photos and a video on Instagram on Tuesday under the caption “Instagram vs reality.”
The first photo showed Andrews smiling on the sideline. She wore an all-black rain suit, held an umbrella, and spoke into a Fox microphone.
The next slide showed the less glamorous part of the job. Andrews had to take off her wet rain pants and squeeze them right back on over her leather pants, all while rushing around on the sideline during the game.
Erin Andrews Gets Praise From Colleagues And Fans

Andrews’ post got reactions from people who know her well. Fox host Charissa Thompson praised her friend and podcast partner.
“She stays ready,” Thompson wrote.
AEW personality Renee Paquette also liked Andrews’ look.
“This is the chicest rain suit ever,” Paquette said.
One fan focused on another detail, “What’s most impressive is doing that with the shoes still on,” the fan wrote.
BBN Tonight reporter Maggie Davis also wanted Andrews to share more of her game-day routine.
“Pleaseeee do a podcast segment on how you prepare for all of these weather conditions!!! -Xoxo other reporters trying to learn from the goat,” Davis wrote.
Andrews also joked about the weather before the game. She gave a tongue-in-cheek report during Fox NFL Sunday and pointed out that the rain had not slowed down as expected.
“Clearly, if you see my hair growing from the back into the front, that means we have some humidity,” Andrews said. “We have a mist, we have some wind. This thing was supposed to taper off at noon, but I don’t see that tapering anywhere.”
The rough conditions did not stop the Rams from making a late comeback.
Philadelphia led by 10 points, but the Eagles failed to score in the second half. Los Angeles scored touchdowns on consecutive fourth-quarter drives to take the lead.
Kyren Williams played a key role in the comeback. He rushed for 80 yards, caught a career-high 10 passes, and scored two touchdowns.
After the game, Williams spoke with Andrews and praised his team for staying together through the difficult conditions.
