June 1 is the beginning of Pride Month in the United States. And this month celebrates and recognizes the contributions of LGBTQ+ people throughout history and society.
Many sports teams and organizations acknowledged the occasion on social media. Several NFL teams shared Pride Month messages, while the New York Yankees posted a graphic featuring a rainbow version of their famous “NY” logo.
However, not every NFL team made a Pride Month post. According to a report from OutKick, nine NFL teams did not post a Pride Month message on their official social media accounts on June 1. The report also noted that several of those teams did not share similar messages when Pride Month began last year.
Teams That Did Not Post On June 1

According to the report, the following NFL teams did not publish a Pride Month message on Monday:
- New York Jets
- Pittsburgh Steelers
- Cleveland Browns
- Cincinnati Bengals
- Tennessee Titans
- Kansas City Chiefs
- Las Vegas Raiders
- Dallas Cowboys
- New Orleans Saints

The report initially included the Los Angeles Rams and New York Giants among teams that had not posted. However, both teams later shared Pride Month content and no longer appeared on the list.
June 1 also brought some interesting NFL news that dominated discussion around the league. The Los Angeles Rams completed a blockbuster trade for Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett. The New York Giants also made a comeback move by bringing Odell Beckham Jr. back to the franchise.
Because of those major football stories, some teams may have focused their social media accounts on roster moves and team news.
Still, Pride Month posts often attract attention from fans and the media. People pay close attention to how sports teams handle social and cultural events. Sometimes, not posting generates just as much discussion as posting.
With the month just getting started, teams still have plenty of time to recognize Pride Month through social media posts, events, or community programs.
