Aaron Donald’s Wife Ruthlessly Teases Rams Fans By Casting More Doubt On His NFL Return [VIDEO]

Los Angeles Rams fans are likely sick of Aaron Donald’s wife right now.
The fanbase is eagerly awaiting news of the former defensive tackle’s return, given that he’s been training with the team. But his wife, Erica, is using that anxiety to poke fun.
She’s posted a meme to her Instagram story showing Carmelo Anthony pump-faking a jump shot during Dwyane Wade’s final NBA game.
Anthony was sitting courtside that night and had no actual role in the game, making the pump fake a pure troll move aimed at the crowd.
Erica captioned the clip “Aaron Donald to the Rams once a week,” pairing it with a row of laughing emojis.
Rams Fans Have Waited Months For An Answer

Speculation about Donald’s return has dragged on since June, when Los Angeles traded for Myles Garrett and immediately reignited comeback chatter. Donald himself fanned the flames days later, admitting he was “for sure flirting with the idea” of playing alongside Garrett if the opportunity felt right.
Since then, Donald has shown up repeatedly at the Rams’ practice facility for workouts, further stoking expectations that never quite turn into a final answer. He trained at the facility multiple times over the summer, and head coach Sean McVay has continued to describe the situation as trending in the right direction without committing to any timeline.
Donald worked out with the team again as recently as this past weekend, marking his second practice session with the Rams this offseason.
McVay has stopped short of pushing Donald toward a decision, saying he wants to respect the process the three-time Defensive Player of the Year is going through. That patience from the coaching staff hasn’t necessarily extended to the fan base, which has now spent more than two months waiting on an announcement that keeps slipping further down the calendar.
The Wait Has Become A Running Joke

Erica’s meme fits neatly into that growing pattern of comeback teases without resolution. Fans have pointed to workout videos, cryptic social media reactions, and now a joke from Donald’s own wife as evidence that the situation has become something of a running bit around the organization.
Donald retired following the 2023 season after a decorated 10-year career that included three Defensive Player of the Year awards and a Super Bowl title.
He’s remained in Rams facilities on and off throughout the offseason, but as of this weekend, no formal decision has been announced.
