The Chicago Bears have another injury situation to monitor. Luther Burden III limped off Saturday’s practice field after an awkward collision with cornerback Tyrique Stevenson.
ESPN’s Courtney Cronin reported that the two players got tangled up during their final rep.
Both players went down.
According to Cronin, Stevenson returned to practice after a trainer tended to his lower back. Burden, meanwhile, walked toward the building under his own power.
Bears Can Only Wait For More Information On Luther Burden

Burden has become an important piece of Chicago’s offense entering his second NFL season. The Bears drafted him in the second round in 2025, and he emerged as a key contributor during his rookie campaign.
He finished last season with 47 receptions for 652 yards and two touchdowns.
The Bears also expect more from him this season.
Chicago’s own training camp preview identified Burden and Rome Odunze as the team’s two key receiving playmakers.
Burden has also generated plenty of offseason praise. Head coach Ben Johnson said in May that the receiver had shown significant growth during the offseason program.
Burden missed time as a rookie with a concussion and an ankle injury. Still, nothing currently indicates that Saturday’s incident will keep him out.
