Bengals Get Worrying Injury Update On Star WR Tee Higgins

After Sunday’s roster cuts, there’s a new thing that has been going on in the NFL these days: injuries. Lots of those kinds, actually. And the latest name to join that list is none other than Bengals star wide receiver, Tee Higgins.
Higgins participated in all of Cincinnati’s preseason activities and practices. However, some intriguing news has emerged after the team’s Wednesday practice session.
The 27-year-old speedy receiver was not a participant in the Bengals’ practice. In fact, he reportedly missed it.
Bengals Reveal Tee Higgins’ Injury

ESPN’s Ben Baby, a reporter focused on the Cincinnati Bengals, first shared the news.
“Tee Higgins is not practicing today,” Ben Baby said. “But he did run up the hill.”
Tee Higgins is reportedly dealing with a heel injury. More specifically, he’s battling a heel contusion, often considered a severe bruise. But the severity of the injury remains unknown. The good news is that the Bengals are positive that their star WR is good to go for their season opener.
As the Bengals’ second-leading receiver in 2025, Higgins had 59 receptions for 846 yards and 11 touchdowns. The team expects another good season from him.
Ja’Marr Chase Is Also Dealing With An Injury

Tee Higgins is not the only Bengals WR who is currently dealing with an injury ahead of Week 1.
Ja’Marr Chase also missed Wednesday’s practice, as reported again by Ben Baby.
“Also, Ja’Marr Chase not practicing as anticipated but here for a sweltering afternoon practice,” Baby wrote.
Chase suffered a hyperextended knee during one of the team’s practice sessions last week. While the injury initially looked scary, the 26-year-old is expected to be good to go in their season opener against Tampa Bay.
After a disappointing campaign last year, the Cincinnati Bengals are aiming for a better showing in the upcoming season. And they need both of their star receivers at tiptop shape for that to happen.
