Cleveland Browns edge rusher Jared Verse often puts pressure on quarterbacks and other offensive players. On Sunday, he was on the other side, suffering big punishment from a Pittsburgh Steelers player.
Verse joined the Browns via trade earlier this year. So far, he has posted 17 tackles for the AFC North team.
He raised eyebrows before Week 8, trash talking the Steelers and adding fuel to a rivalry game that is always tense. During the first half of Sunday’s game, Steelers guard Mason McCormick made him pay for all his comments.
The offensive lineman grabbed Verse and body slammed him on his head like Verse was nothing.

Verse had a lot to say about the Steelers after the Browns beat them 27-24 in October. The defensive end took a shot at the Steelers, calling them dirty.
“I don’t got no respect for anybody that plays too dirty, and that does too much extra s— after the game,” he said.
Earlier this week, he doubled down, saying he would bring his intensity again to beat Pittsburgh.
“I can’t wait until we see them again,” Verse said. “I’m going to put that one on the calendar. I can’t wait to get my hands on them again.”
Verse and Co. had a hard time trying to keep up with the Steelers in the first half. He specifically suffered the Steelers’ physicality.
