CeeDee Lamb might start a revolution inside the Dallas Cowboys with his latest request. The wide receiver, one of the best players in his position in the NFL, wants to see a major change at AT&T Stadium ahead of the 2026 campaign.

The Cowboys’ stadium will host nine games in the upcoming FIFA World Cup. As a result, they will have to comply with FIFA’s rules on the surface. “Jerry’s World” uses turf, but the team will change it to natural grass for the upcoming tournament.

Lamb reposted a poll that said 92% of NFL players preferred to play on grass over turf. The star tagged the league and pleaded for it to make a league-wide change: “place? @nfl,” he wrote.

Jerry Jones Says Cowboys Won’t Stop Playing On Turf Despite CeeDee Lamb’s Demands

Despite Lamb’s push to make the change permanent, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones made it clear the team will immediately change to turf once the World Cup comes to an end.

“We have more flexibility with the way we handle our surface at the stadium. We have no belief that it’s any safer to play on grass. The turf, actually like many things, improves the economics of being able to play this game and our players are the biggest benefactor of all,” Jones explained (via ProFootballTalk).

“They get the best benefit of when we do good things financially, the players benefit. So I’m working for you, baby, if you’re a player,” Jerry said. “… I’m very comfortable putting some grass down for soccer under regulations and proud to be able to do it, but quickly getting the turf back there to get back to the other business of the stadium and the team.”

Many players want the league to make this change, but the league itself denied that turf has anything to do with recent serious injuries.
