Cleveland Browns Fans Make It Clear How They Feel About QB Deshaun Watson

Cleveland Browns fans let Deshaun Watson hear it at Tuesday’s practice.

The quarterback heard boos from fans during practice, according to reporter Noah Olson, who posted on X saying, “Watson currently being boo’ed by Browns fans.”

The boos show just how fed up fans are with Watson’s time in Cleveland. Ever since he arrived, he’s faced constant heat over his poor play, lingering injuries, and his massive contract. With training camp underway, that frustration is only boiling over.

To make matters worse, Watson isn’t doing himself any favors on the field. Reports out of camp say he’s really struggled throughout offseason workouts and practices.  At a time when he needs to reestablish himself as the team’s quarterback, the crowd’s reaction shows that their patience has completely run out.

Many Browns fans reacted strongly after news of the boos spread online.

One fan wrote, “Should never step on the field for the browns again. Biggest slap in the face to the fanbase imaginable.”

Another fan pointed to the unusual setting for such a reaction. “The levels of hate it takes to get booed at minicamp is crazy man,” the fan posted.

A third fan expressed surprise at hearing boos during camp at all. “I don’t recall anyone getting booed at training camp before?” the fan wrote.

This frustration didn’t just happen overnight. Cleveland went all-in on Watson with a massive trade and a fully guaranteed contract, giving up a haul of draft picks and tons of cap space to get him. Since then, the Browns have lost 10 or more games in three of Watson’s four years with the team.

The ongoing quarterback battle is putting even more heat on him. Watson is still fighting for position against two second-year QBs coming off tough 2025 seasons. With over a year to get healthy and ready, fans expected way better results by now.

Training camp is supposed to feel like a fresh start for everyone, but Tuesday showed that a lot of Browns fans have traded hope for pure frustration. Now, Watson has no choice but to change their minds with his game.
