Keenan Allen finds himself in legal trouble hours after making his debut with his new NFL team. The Indianapolis Colts wide receiver was arrested in downtown Indianapolis around 1 a.m. Two DUI charges followed. FOX59 had it first before Adam Schefter put it on the board Sunday morning.

Jail records list DWI/DUI/OWI endangering a person and DWI/DUI/OWI with a BAC of .08 or more. Both are misdemeanors. He was held at the Marion County Arrestee Processing Center. The spot was the 100 block of South Meridian Street.

Keenan Allen had just played his first snaps as a Colt. Saturday’s preseason finale against Detroit ended 25-16. He ran the opening drive. Anthony Richardson hit him for 24 yards. That was his only catch. He said after the game he was excited to be back for year 14.

The Colts signed him about two weeks ago. One-year deal, up to $8.32 million. Shane Steichen coached him for seven years in Los Angeles. Alec Pierce is still coming back from ankle and heel surgery. Josh Downs is the other featured target. Allen was the veteran third starter.

Allen has been one of the most reliable receivers when healthy, racking up 1,055 catches, 12,051 yards, 70 touchdowns, and six Pro Bowls. Last year with the Los Angeles Chargers, he had 81 grabs for 777 yards and four scores. Chicago had him in 2024. Then Indy. Then one night, and a booking sheet.

Sunday at 6 p.m. ET is the 53-man deadline. The Colts still have to cut from 90. Week 1 is Baltimore. The team statement was short.

“We are aware of the incident involving Keenan Allen last night. We are in the process of gathering more information and have no further comment at this time.”

IndyStar confirmed he was still in custody Sunday morning. No formal comment from his reps. Keenan Allen is 34. He is two weeks into a new city. He is two charges into a legal process the Colts say they are still reading. The catch was 24 yards. The night did not end there.
